The attached photograph was taken 2 months ago. The unit compressor finally gave out this August. I went to pull out the original receipt (I had bought the house in 1987 and the unit was already installed) and I nearly flipped when I saw an install year of 1970. Given Carrier's present reputation and my first hand experience with this 34 year old unit, it was a no brainer for my choice of replacement! Thanks. Also, the new unit is gorgeous!

Very truly yours,
—Pete M.

My home is 30+ years old and we had an old Lennox system, which was very costly to run.

I did lots of research on the Internet. I liked what Carrier offered. Called a local Carrier Dealer and he explained in detail what I was looking for. I'm impressed with Infinity thermostat and the 2 speed condenser.

Thank you.

I had 2 new air conditioners (Puron type) and 2 new Infinity furnaces installed. The work began on 9/29/04.

I choose Carrier products because the oldest of the replaced Air Conditioning units was installed in 1964 and was still operating with no problems.

Enclosed are photos of the old unit and the 2 new replacements.

Regards,
—James C., Summit, NJ

I am writing to you to express my complete satisfaction of your Carrier air conditioner that was installed in our home 31 years ago.

When we purchased our home, the Carrier air conditioner was 10 years old and for the last 21 years since we lived here, it has never needed repairs. We recently updated our furnace and air conditioner for a more efficient unit, but certainly not because it wasn't operating properly.

We had been very happy with the performance of our Carrier air conditioner in the past, and look forward to the performance of our new efficient model to come.

Thanks for making quality and reliable products.

Since I moved into my house I have never had to touch my Carrier central air conditioner. We finally had some problems this year, and decided it was most economical to replace both our Carrier central air conditioner and our non-Carrier furnace with a much more energy efficient system.

Our choice was difficult between a new Carrier and a system from a competitor. We chose Carrier for its name brand, high efficiencies (16 SEER Air Conditioning and 94% furnace), and its excellence in reliability. We could have bought a cheaper system from another manufacturer and ended up paying more over the lifetime of use we expect to get from the Carrier system. We look forward to using this system for the next 30 years.

A 2 year old Carrier furnace and air conditioning system were part of the home I purchased in 1976. The system operated perfectly for 30 years and was functioning satisfactorily when I decided to replace it with a more energy efficient system. Because of the Carrier's past performance and the excellent local service provider, it was an easy decision to install another Carrier heating and cooling system.

Enclosed is a photo of me alongside the 30 year old Carrier air conditioning unit.

Our old unit was over 30 years old. The unit had survived at least 2 floods in our area, and with minor maintenance has been a wonderful unit.

We have now replaced it with a new Carrier Puron unit. The installation was straight forward affair, and we are now enjoying the new unit's cooling capabilities.

Cordially,
—Kenneth K., Dallas, TX

What can a guy say, I've had this air conditioner for over 30 years and not one problem with it. The guys from Hulsman Refrigeration did a great job 30 years ago, so naturally I called them back to install a new more efficient PURON air conditioner. I figured you can't go wrong if you put in a quality Carrier air conditioner. Thirty years of service free operation should speak for itself as far as what air conditioner is the BEST.

This air conditioner was purchased in 1974 and first installed in an old Williamson furnace with a cast iron heat exchanger and a belt drive blower. I personally ran and installed the line sets for the air conditioner in hard copper. Then HUGE Heating and Cooling serviced and charged the unit. In 1976 it was retrofitted into a new Carrier furnace when the old one developed a heat exchanger leak. Sometime in the 1980's I had HUGE do an annual service check on the units. They found no problems with the air conditioner or furnace units. It had not even lost any of the Freon charge. Other than replacing the igniter module for the furnace, no parts or repairs were done on the units in the entire 30 year life of the machines.

In 1984 a 500 square foot addition was placed on the house and was heated and cooled with this same unit. While certain adjustments in damper positions for the various room vents had to be made, it has done a more than serviceable job during the past twenty years handling the added load. In fact the air conditioning unit is so undersized that when it is running, it runs continuously, does not cycle, 8 to 10 hours per day. Still, there were no failures. The Cleveland demands for air conditioning are not that great, but this unit has performed flawlessly.

The reason it is being replaced is that we were replacing the roof under a special low interest loan program and decided to add the HVAC to the loan.

We looked at several other manufacturers, including LENNOX and BRYANT, when we were considering replacing the equipmentÉ But we decided to replace with CARRIER, installed by All Weather Heating and Cooling of Westlake, Ohio, because of the excellent service and reliability we had with the old equipment. We are looking forward to the same service performance with the new equipment. We are confident that our heating and electric bills will drop because of the new higher efficiency equipment.

Thank You,
—William B., Westlake, OH

I am pleased to send you a picture of me and my old unit for posting on your web site. It has given me many years of cool comfort in our home which we built in 1962, and installed 1968. This unit was service free for its life. I have now purchased a new PURON 38TP024 from DOWS HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING whose service is first class in our area. With a track record like that why buy anything else.

I have just replaced my Carrier Air Conditioner with a new Puron Model 38XTA024-3. The original unit was over thirty (30) years old. I have owned my house for over the past twenty years and this unit was present at that time. Over the years I have not had any service work done to the unit and it still was working fine up until the day it was replaced. It was any easy decision to upgrade to the new Carrier unit when we decided to remodel and add an addition to our house. With the past performance from my old unit I'm sure I'll be happy with the new unit.

Thank-you,
—Todd S., Neenah, WI

I did some research of the various Air Conditioning units available on the market. The reviews from different sources said that the Carrier units are very reliable and make minimum amount of noise. The dealer answered all my questions promptly and were very professional. The prices for the unit and installation were also in the same ball park.

Hence I chose to go with Carrier unit.

Sincerely,
—Shimoga S., Bellevue, WA

In time all good things must come to an end, however, in the case of my Carrier Air Conditioner, the end is just a replacement. I recently decided to totally replace my old heating and Air Conditioning system with a high efficient energy saving model. My current system is over 30 years old and I know it's efficiency is not what it should be for an Ohio climate.

After comparison shopping with different brands of systems, I found Carrier to still be the best value. I consider CARRIER to be the "ROLLS ROYCE" of heating and cooling systems now on the market and a world leader in new high efficiency technology.

Since my current CARRIER Air Conditioning unit had been providing me with dependable service and superior comfort for over 30 years, I decided to remain with a manufacturer that has a proven track record with me. I look forward to another 30 years of effiecient, quiet, reliable service.

In addition, all the testimonials on your web site reinforced my choice of a total Carrier System for both my heating and cooling needs.

Sincerely,
—Paul T., Solon, Tyson

We had our Carrier air conditioner for nearly 40 years. Very seldom did we need a service call. We had no problems. When it finally stopped working this past summer, we didn't even think of looking for another brand of air conditioner, Carrier was the only one for us!

I had a more than 30 years old Carrier air-conditioning unit which was still running perfectly. Due to its outer cover, as you can see from the picture, became rusted and also I was concerned the efficiency of this machine, I recently decided to change a new Carrier air-condition unit (Infinity furnace model, and Puron air-conditioning unit) which are great. My whole family is satisfied with the efficiency and quietness. Again we are counted on your reliability, durability, and efficiency.

Best wishes,
Show L.
