U.S. Sen. Richard Lugar Visits Carrier to View New High-Efficiency Furnace Line

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana, December 15, 2011 - Just months after launching the 2011 Practical Energy Plan, U.S. Sen. Richard Lugar (R-Indiana) visited the Carrier manufacturing facility in Indianapolis to view its new high-efficiency furnace line. Carrier, the world’s leader in high technology heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) solutions and a part of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX), introduced its new Infinity® gas furnace line earlier this year, with industry-leading energy efficiency and sound ratings.

Sen. Lugar spoke with a small group of employees about the economic and environmental benefits of energy efficiency and his "Practical Energy Plan," which encourages states to adopt long-term frameworks to improve energy savings in new homes and buildings.
