Dave Ireland, the founder of Ireland Heating & Air Conditioning Co., has been working in the HVAC industry for over 35 years. He began his mechanical career as a service technician for a Chicago south suburban heating and air conditioning contractor in 1974. He established Ireland Heating in 1978 and his wife, Diane joined the company in 1979. The company grew slowly over the years while Dave maintained a career in the fire service which helped contribute to his vast knowledge of building codes and product safety. When his son, Alan, joined the company in 1994 as a high school student, Dave realized what his organizational skills and his hard work ethics would bring to the company. As a 2002 graduate of the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, Alan is now Vice President and controls the business operations for the company. Ireland Heating & Air Conditioning has been servicing the HVAC needs of Chicago’s North Shore communities since 1978 and has remained family owned and operated. Out of our office in Lake Forest, we have 14 employees to serve our customers, from the helpful office staff to our emergency 24-hour technicians.
Ireland Heating and Air Conditioning Co. is proud to be a Carrier Factory Authorized Dealership and is honored to be selected as a President’s Award recipient. Although we are possibly one of the smallest dealerships to be recognized this year, we would like to attribute our success to our personal catering customer service, our technical expertise, and our great attention to detail and follow-through after the sale. We take pride in hiring, training and retaining only the most knowledgeable and qualified personnel. Our industry certified technicians and sales staff provide the best solutions to our customer’s most challenging HVAC problems. While we service all makes and models of furnaces, boilers, air conditioners and additional home comfort products, we always recommend the Carrier brand for new forced-air systems and indoor air quality needs. We also install high velocity mini-tube air conditioning systems, boilers, radiant flooring, snowmelt systems and stand-by home generator products to ensure no need goes unmet. We have specialized in custom design/build residential projects which have included up to 12 HVAC systems. No project is too large or too small. While we primarily specialize in custom residential applications we also service the light commercial marketplace. We have focused on building long term relationships with all of our customers through our scheduled maintenance service and regular customer contact. We have built a very loyal customer base over the years. Perhaps it’s because of our “treat you like family” focus. As a retired emergency first responder, Dave has instilled in his staff the attitude of doing what it takes to get the job done, and being there for your loyal customers.
